Algeria, with its “active and innovative” diplomacy based on the principles of the United Nations Charter, is a factor of “stability” in the region, said Monday in Algiers new Austrian ambassador to Algeria Franziska Honsowitz Friessnigg.
“Algeria is a factor of stability in the region and Austria appreciates a lot what this country is doing concerning ( the peace negotiations) between the Libyan parties and its efforts with the United Nations ( to resolve the crisis) in Libya,” Friessnigg told the press following an audience granted to her by President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
She broached the “major” role played by Algeria in the field of international politics, “its active and innovative diplomacy based on the principles and, in particular, the recent efforts at the regional level.”
At the bilateral level, she said that she broaches with President Bouteflika the historic and long-lasting relations between the two countries, based on mutual respect.
Friessnigg expressed her wish to “broaden and deepen this partnership which link between the two countries.”
