Algeria learnt with a “deep indignation” about the terrorist attack on a checkpoint of the Egyptian army in the governorate of Oued al Djadid at the Egyptian-Libyan borders, causing 22 deaths among the Egyptian soldiers, said Sunday the Spokesman of Foreign Affairs Ministry Abdelaziz Ben Ali Cherif.
“While we strongly condemn this criminal act, we express our solidarity with the families of the martyrs of duty and support to the Egyptian people in their courageous resistance to terrorism,” said Ben Aali Cherif in a statement to APS.
“We also reiterate our commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Egyptian government to address this phenomenon, alien to our religion and values,” added the source.
