Alexandria security forces have arrested the chief bomb-maker who built a bomb that went off on the Abu Qir train.
The suspect, an electrical engineer, is a member of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group, a well-placed source told MENA.
During the arrest, the police seized detonators, a huge amount of bomb-making material and three makeshifts bombs, the source added.
He was referred to the prosecution for further probe.
On July 4, an improvised bomb blast on an Alexandria train wounded at least nine people.
The blast occurred in a carriage of a train carrying passengers between Abu Qir village and Sidi Gaber, a suburb of Egypt’s second biggest city.
