Aleppo governor Mohammad Wahid Aqqad visited al-Sheikh Najjar and al-Sheikh Zayyat villages adjoining the industrial city of Aleppo to inspect the level of services and the volume of damage left in the aftermath of terrorists’ takeover of the area.
The governor, who listened to the demands and grievances of the locals, pledged that the government is interested in having their needs met as soon as possible, adding that repair and maintenance workshops have set about fixing the damage that the infrastructures have suffered.
The locals demanded a restoration of basic services to their localities and a compensation for their losses.
Aleppo’s Shiekh Najjar is a sprawling industrial city and a significant industrial hub spanning an area of 4, 400 hectares. The area was overrun by terrorists who wrought considerable damage to industrial facilities there before the army clawed back control of the city earlier this month.
