
Assistant of the President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Democratic Unionist Party (SUNA), Dr. Jalal Yousif Al-Degair, Thursday received the Chairman of the African Union High-Level Implementation Panel for Sudan, Dr. Jalal Yousif Al-Degair, at Corinthia Hotel, Thabo Mbeki, and discussed progress of the national dialogue and the efforts to involve all the political forces in the dialogue.
In a press statement after the meeting, Dr. Al-Degair said that he agreed with Mbeki that there is no alternative for the dialogue as a means to solve all Sudan crises, especially the political, economic and security problems.
He said that the path of dialogue is a difficult one and requires patience, strong will, faith and national commitment, indicating that focusing will be dedicated in the coming stage for building confidence between the different parties.
He said that the Democratic Unionist Party remained adherent during the past 20 years to the principle of comprehensive dialogue that excludes no one.
Dr. Al-Degair said that the Democratic Unionist Party looks for a secure and free society that is prevailed by justice, equality and the rule of law.
