
Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi confirmed that he did not wish the presence of armed militias, and he is willing to take tough and decisive decisions.
Abadi said in an interview with CNN: "Iraq has paid a heavy price, in return for instability experienced by Syria," noting: "The militants of the (IS) caused pain and suffering to the people after their move to Iraq."
He confirmed his wish not to see presence of armed militias in Iraq, stressing "the need for all armed forces fall under the umbrella of the state."
He expressed his happiness on the American raids in Syria as long as they achieve their desired objectives, said in this regard: "It's good that the Arab countries involved in the military campaign against (IS)."
About U.S. attacks in Iraq Abadi said: "The only mistake committed by American troops in Iraq is the lack of coordination with Iraqi forces on the ground, because our forces are going forward, and when going forward they need air cover, and this cover is currently unavailable" .
