Sharjah Holding PJSC, a partnership between Majid Al Futtaim Properties and Sharjah Asset Management Holding, on Sunday announced the launch of the second phase of Al Lilac Neighbourhood in Al Zahia, Sharjah’s premier mixed-use community.

Launched earlier this year, Al Lilac, the third neighbourhood in Al Zahia, is made up of three-bedroom townhouses, four and five-bedroom villas and the newly introduced three-bedroom courtyard villas. The second phase will see the release of 61 residential units of luxury four and five-bedroom villas, tailored to offer an integrated lifestyle for the entire family.

Al Lilac has been designed to suit current and future demands, incorporating homeowners’ feedback to create well-designed spaces that meet their daily life requirements. The neighbourhood will be home to over 285 families upon completion in 2020.

Commenting on the announcement, Hawazen Esber, Chief Executive Officer of Majid Al Futtaim– Communities, said, "Developed to inspire people to celebrate life every day, Al Zahia continues to grow as one of the most sought-after landmark destinations in Sharjah, combining international standards of living with the emirate’s deep-rooted family, community and cultural values. Al Lilac Neighbourhood embodies our commitment to deliver a premier lifestyle destination that offers high-quality homes interspaced with public areas, designed to encourage human interaction and empower memorable experiences for both residents and the local community."

The launch follows Majid Al Futtaim’s participation at Cityscape Global 2017. The event, which highlights excellence in real estate development, was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 11th to 13th September, and saw Al Zahia shortlisted in the ‘Residential Low-Rise Project Award’ category at Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets.

Walid Al Hashimi, Chief Executive Officer, Sharjah Holding, said, "The continued expansion of Al Zahia and its neighbourhoods demonstrates Sharjah Holding’s commitment to drive socio-economic impact in Sharjah. In collaboration with our partners at Majid Al Futtaim–Properties, we are creating a sustainable living environment that sets new benchmarks for mixed-use communities in the emirate."

On completion, Al Zahia will be home to more than 12,000 residents in 2,270 villas, townhouses and apartments. Structured in the form of seven individually designed neighbourhoods, Al Zahia features six unique themed community parks, created to leverage human activity in all neighbourhoods.
