
Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of Federal National Council, FNC, has met with Noureddine Bouchkouj, Secretary-General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, at the headquarters of the General-Secretariat of the Council in Dubai.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed cooperation relations between the FNC and the Union and reviewed the mechanisms for the development of cooperation and the importance of coordination in various fields.
The meeting also touched on the activities of the U.A.E. Parliamentary Division and its participation in the events of Gulf, Arab, Islamic and International Parliamentary groups.
Al Murr commended the role played by the Arab Inter- Parliamentary Union in discussing various Arab issues.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union praised the role shouldered by the FNC through its participation in the work of the Arab Parliamentary Union and its contributions and suggestions.
The meeting was attended by Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Assistant Secretary-General for Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs.
