AL chief receives Sudanese foreign affairs council delegation

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit received on Tuesday a delegation of the Sudanese Council for Foreign Relations, currently visiting here.

Sudanese Ambassador in Cairo Abdel Mahmoud Abdel Halim attended the meeting.

Arab League Spokesman Mahmoud Afifi said Abul Gheit praised the role of the foreign affairs council in bolstering ties with their counterparts in all Arab countries and enriching dialogue vis-a-vis various issues of concern to the Arab world.

The AL chief also appreciated the role of Sudan in the service of Arab issues, supporting the Arab League, buttressing Arab-African relations as well as promoting joint Arab-African cooperation.

The Sudanese foreign affairs delegation, on their part, appreciated the efforts exerted by the Arab League in enhancing the role the Arab body and closing ranks of Arabs in view of the current challenges facing the Arab world
