The National Progressive Front, which includes several political parties among them al-Baath Party, dismissed the war recently waged by Israel against the Gaza Strip as “a war against the resistance”, which it said Syria forms its impervious base and spearhead.
The Front issued Sunday a statement of condemnation of the aggression, that has so far left more than 160 civilian Palestinians dead and over a thousand more injured.
While highlighting that the war in Gaza ties in with “the greater conspiracy” targeting the Arab countries, the statement did not fail to denounce the half-hearted attitude of some Arab regimes towards the aggression “who either have kept silent or talked something that is closer to useless nonsense.”
The Front called upon the Arab nation to mobilize all its forces, active parties and popular organizations to quickly and effectively move to create a wide front that is aimed at putting an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
