The second round of indirect negotiations between Palestine and the Israeli Occupation, was decided to be held next week in the city of Cairo, Egypt, to carry on with truce talks in Gaza.
General Secretary Deputy of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Qais Abd Al-Karim (Abu Layla), told PNN that the negotiations are supposed to start on the 25th of this month at the latest, which is the end date of the truce that was contracted in Cairo about a month ago, between Palestine and the Israeli occupation regarding firing.
Abu Layla assured that there were many issues that need to be settled for the negotiations to start, pointing out that this round will discuss all the delayed issues since the previous round –according to past conventions-, such as the issues of the airport, harbour, prisoners and more.
He added that the conditions of the ceasefire that the occupation has violated might be added to the list of the upcoming negotiations, with the issue of control mechanics and guarantees for the occupation to commit to the truce.
Abu Layla added that this round of negotiations might be more difficult that the previous rounds which happened during armed encounters between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli Occupation, that stopped under the conditions of the ceasefire.
He said that there must be a way to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation, nationally or internationally, through strengthening the Palestinian side in terms of negotiations.
