
Abu Dhabi is to host the third forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies on 18th -19th December.
Dr. Mohammad Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments and Secretary-General of the forum, said that the event will address the role of national states and their legitimacy and relevance in promoting peace.
Dr. Al Kaabi praised the achievements of the forum since its inception under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Sheikh Abdallah bin Bayyah, Chair and President of the forum.
Dr. Al Kaabi stressed that the forum is in line with the policy of the UAE to promote peace and spread a culture of tolerance and wisdom at a national and global level.
