Fatah Spokesman Ahmed Assaf said Friday Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas locked in a solid battle to protect Al Aqsa holy mosque from Judaization and Israeli control and attempts to achieve freedom and independence and determine a time-frame for ending the occupation.
In a televised statements, Assaf said the Israeli prime minister Netanyahu seeks to mix religion with politics and history to control Al-Aqsa Mosque. "He will fail".
"We do not and will not allow him to achieve his bid. We will sacrifice to return Al Quds as the capital of the Palestine independent state," he added.
Assaf praised Jerusalemites' heroic role in defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The president held a series of direct meetings with US Secretary of State John Kerry and Jordanian King Abdallah II, while the Palestinian representative to the United Nations Riyad Mansour convoyed Abbas's messages to all members of the UN Security Council and General Assembly to stop Israeli crimes.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab foreign ministers will hold meetings to take a stand to limit the violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, Assaf said.
