
Head of the Egyptian community here Alaa Hadoura on Tuesday praised Egyptian the political leadership for efforts made to evacuate Egyptians stranded at the Libyan-Tunisian borders due to the shaky security situation in Libya.
In statements to MENA, he added up to 850 Egyptians are suffering along the joint borders.
Three aircraft have already landed at the Tunisia Gabes airport to carry them back home, he added.
EgyptAir had undertaken an airlift over the past few days and carried back home more than 14,000 Egyptians who fled violence in Libya.
