At least eight Hezbollah fighters were killed in the fierce fight with Nusra Front fighters on Sunday, a Lebanese security source said Monday.
Hezbollah held funeral processions late Monday for at least four that were killed in the Bekaa Valley, eastern Lebanon.
"Calm returned to Lebanon's eastern border Monday following fierce fighting between Hezbollah and Nusra Front fighters," the source said.
Security sources added that at least 20 Hezbollah fighters were wounded in the clashes that broke out Sunday evening outside the village of Brital.
They said 14 Nusra Front jihadists were killed in the clashes that ebbed on Monday.
Hezbollah captured five Nusra militants, the sources said.
