4 Killed, 3 injured in explosion in Iraq’s Diala

Four members of one family have been killed and three others injured in explosive blasts against their house in the Iraqi province of Diala, a police source reported on Wednesday. “A group of unknown armed men have blown up several explosive charges in a house, belonging to a family that had returned for its home recently in west Diala’s al-Hadid area, killing 4 of its members and wounding 3 others,” the police source told (Aswat al-Iraq) news agency. He said that Al-Hadid area, situated on the main road connecting Diala with Baghdad, had been one of the main areas for the activity of al-Qaeda Organization. Baaquba, the center of Diala Province, is 57 km to the northeast of Baghdad.
