
Plans have been adopted to expand three lanes, and construct tunnels and bridges on the Fujairah - Qidfa Road, according to directives from H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah.
Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, General Commander of Fujairah Police, said that a company has been assigned to implement the project, which will begin construction work early next year and complete the work over two years.
He said that the Fujairah Ruler was briefed earlier about traffic congestion on the road and the expansion plans to ease traffic. Al Kaabi added that H.H. Sheikh Hamad approved the plans and issued instructions in this respect.
