Israeli authorities reopened Sunday the Karm Abu Salem commercial crossing in south-east Gaza after the weekend. "Occupation forces will allow the entry of 230 trucks laden with goods to the commercial and agricultural sectors," Raed Fattouh, the head of the committee for the import of goods said in a statement. Heavy fuel for the power plant, gas for the transportation sector and cooking gas will also be pumped, in addition to the export of a truck-load of strawberry and roses to Europe, he added. Karm Abu Salem is considered to be the only commercial crossing through which goods and fuel enter into Gaza, but Israeli authorities close it every week on Friday and Saturday.
