
A mortar shell fired from inside Syrian hit a house in the Turkish border town of Suruc, injuring two people.
The injured people were rushed to Suruc State Hospital for treatment.
Another Syrian mortar shell hit a house in the nearby Buyukkendirli town. No injuries were reported so far in the second incident.
The Turkish police intensified security measures in the area and urged journalists and ordinary people to stay away from the border line.
The incidents come as clashes between Kurdish groups and Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant militants intensified Sunday around the Kurdish-populated city of Kobani in Syria, just kilometers from the Turkish border.
