2 militants killed, weapons recovered in Jijel

Two terrorists were killed and two Kalashnikov automatic rifles were recovered Sunday in Jijel, said the Ministry of National Defence in a communiqué on Monday.
“As part of the fight against terrorism and organized crime, two terrorists were killed and two Kalashnikov automatic rifles were recovered following an ambush by a detachment of the units of the People’s National Army coming under Jijel’s operational sector, 5th military region, yesterday, 26 October 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in Mechtet Oulad Amrane in the commune of Echehna,” underlined the MND in a communiqué.
“The operation ended with the recovering of a pair of binoculars, three grenades, mobile phones and other objects,” added the source.
