
A security source in Diyala announced that two militants of the Islamic State were killed in an air strike north of Baquba, capital of Diyala province.
The source told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The combat helicopter bombed a vehicle carrying two armed militants and a machine guns near Njana region of the Edhaym district north of Baquba."
He added: "The operation led to the destruction of the vehicle and killing the militants," adding that "the combat helicopters are carrying out intensive flights to monitor the movements of militants.
Njana area, north of Baquba, is under control of the Islamic State (IS) and it locates between Diyala and Salahuddin provinces and represents a major stronghold for the Islamic State organization in the current time.
