2 criminals arrested, 2 weapons recovered in Algeria

Two criminals were arrested and two weapons were reconvered in In-Amenas on Friday during a reconnaissance patrol by a detachment of the People's National Army (ANP), said the Ministry of National Defence in a communiqué.
"As part of the measures for the strengthening of security at borders and the fight against the organized crime, two criminals have been arrested, and a Kalashnikov automatic rifle and a pump-action shotgun have been recovered today Friday 17 October 2014 at 11:30 a.m. during a reconnaissance patrol conducted by a detachment of the People's National Army of In-Amenas (4th Military Region)," said the communiqué.
"During another operation carried out by a detachment of the Army today at 6:30 a.m. near the region of Tarat, in the operational area of Illizi, fifteen (15) Malians have been arrested aboard an all-terrain vehicle," said the source.
"Another detachment of the operational area of El Oued intercepted Wednesday 15 October at 2:30 a.m. a truck loaded with 8,526 bottles of beverage," said the communiqué of the Ministry of National Defence.
"A detachment of the joint forces of the operational area of Tebessa (5th Military Region) sized yesterday Thursday 16 October 2014 seven vehicles and 16,883 litres of fuel," added the communiqué.
