Two community policemen were sentenced last Thursday (November6) to one month in prison with immediate effect.
The Lower Military Court, which convened last Thursday (November6), indicted them for failing to perform their duties with dedication and probity, Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs said.
The two policemen who were on duty on November1 near a community centre ( maatam) in Manama failed to report illegal acts, which were perpetrated by a group of people, to their superiors or to the operation room.
They were arrested in the wake of the incident (November2) and referred to the Military Prosecution which charged them after taking all necessary legal measures.
