17 people dead, 18 others missing in Morocco floods

Some 17 people have died and aother 18 are still missing in Morocco floods, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.
Rescue teams, assisted by military and police units, are searching for the missing, the ministry added in a statement.
Civil defense personnel have rescued 200 people who are in critical condition. 40 of these were picked by the Moroccan air force helicopters, the ministry noted.
Torrential rain in many parts of the Kingdom triggered the floods that isolated whole villages and destroyed dozens of houses. Total losses have not yet been accounted for.
