A 14-year-old girl was killed and two others wounded in a stabbing attack near the West Bank settlement of Alon Shvut on Monday, Israeli police said.
One of the wounded was in serious condition, while the other was said to have sustained light injuries, according to Israeli emergency services.
Initial report said a police officer shot dead the assailant, reportedly a Palestinian, but the latest report said he was shot and seriously wounded, being transported to hospital.
Before the stabbing, the assailant attempted to run the victims over with his car.
The attack came just hours after a Palestinian stabbed and critically wounded a 20-year-old Israeli soldier near a train station in Tel Aviv at noon on Monday. Anti-terror police have found the suspected assailant, who entered Israel illegally, hiding in a nearby building and apprehended him for questioning.
