Ahly's football team Anwar Salama
Cairo - Arab Today

Official of Ahly's football team Anwar Salama said that he did not make any statements or conduct any interviews during the recent days, denying the statements published on a number of newspapers over his criticism to the performance of Ahly's football team.
Salama expressed, in a statement to "Arabs Today", his appreciation to the efforts exerted by the coaching staff led by Hossam Al Badry, saying that he managed to achieve notable progress in the performance of the team during the recent period.
He stressed his support for Badry and his coaching staff to resume his way and to win the Egyptian league this season, stressing the need for providing him with the confidence to win the CAF Champions League. He denied what was published over his intention to dismiss a number of Ahly's players.
He added that the board does not interfere in the work of the coach, blaming the media channels and newspapers for attempting to raise the tensions inside the team. He added that such rumors aim to drive wedge between Badry and the officials of the team, saying that they refuse such attempts and exert their efforts to undermine these attempts.
