Armoured vehicles have been deployed to protect key sites
Sanaa - KUNA

Yemeni army forces have foiled an attempt by Al-Qaeda militants to control the city of Al-Mukalla, the provincial capital of the eastern Hadhramout province, the Defense Ministry said Thursday.
Army forces from the Second Military Zone in Al-Mukalla destroyed three booby-trapped vehicles in the Sitteen Street before reaching their target, it added in a statement. Three soldiers were seriously injured in the operations.
The government forces have then combed the areas to secure it, it said.
The ministry reaffirmed determination of cracking down on Al-Qaeda wherever they were.
