U.S. drone strikes increase in Yemen
Sanaa - Arab Today
A number of Al Qaeda militants were killed in a drone strike against a number of its positions in Shabwah province, Sky news reported Wednesday.
The US regularly launches air raids against Al Qaeda group in Yemen, which is regarded as one of al Qaeda's most dangerous branches. But the US does not comment publicly on attacks.
Al Qaeda has exploited Yemen's civil war to carve out a foothold there. Several leaders of the group have been killed by drone strikes in recent years.
