Houthis bar Saleh, lawmakers from leaving Sanaa

Houthi militants have issued a decision banning Yemen’s ex-president Ali Abdullah Saleh, leaders of his party and lawmakers from leaving Sanaa.
The militants set up checkpoints near Saleh's residence, Arabic-speaking Sky News channel reported on Sunday, quoting Yemeni media sources.
Earlier, Houthis have dispatched 30 military vehicles to al Sabeen Square in the capital.
The decision came on the back of ongoing clashes between Houthi militants and Saleh supporters in Sanaa.
On Saturday, at least two people were killed when Saaleh supporters clashed with Houthi fighters in Sanaa, marking unprecedented violence within the alliance fighting a Saudi-led coalition.
Both sides jointly run northern Yemen and have been fighting the internationally recognized government, based in the south and backed by the Saudi-led Arab coalition.
The coalition intervened in the civil war in 2015 to restore the government to power in Sanaa.
