Taliban claims responsibility for shooting down F16 jet in Afghanistan

The Taliban group claims responsibility for shooting down the US F-16 fighter jet after taking off from Bagram Air Base, north of Kabul, Sky News reported Wednesday.
An F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet crashed Tuesday night in Afghanistan shortly after taking off north of Kabul at Bagram Airfield, but the pilot ejected and has been safely recovered, the Pentagon said.
