Kabul - QNA

Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack on Kabul airport that took place at dawn Thursday.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in a statement "The attackers are armed with explosive vests and heavy and light weapons and we have damaged the airport." Afghan officials announced later that the attack lasted for four hours and all the attackers were killed.
A senior Afghan police officer Gul Agha Hashemi said the attack ended and the area was cleaned of insurgents, adding that all the gunmen were killed.
Earlier, a police source said that a number of gunmen stormed a building under construction, located to the north of the airport, and opened fire from there.
