Heavy explosion rocks Kabul City

A heavy explosion rocked Kabul city early on Tuesday morning after a suicide bomber detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) attack in the 9th police district.
Kabul police spokesman Hashmat Stanikzai confirmed that the blast took place in depechari area in the 9th police district of Kabul.
An interior ministry official said at least two security guards were killed after a suicide bomber detonated a vehicle packed with explosives near the entrance gate of a compound housing foreigners in Pul-e-Charkhi area, the Afghan (Khaama Press) reported.
The Taliban militants group claimed responsibility behind the incident and said the attack was carried out by a group of suicide bombers.
