Kabul - XINHUA

Units of police backed by the army have killed three Taliban militants and captured 17 others during series of operations across the country over the past 24 hours, Interior Ministry said in a press release issued here on Monday. "Three armed Taliban rebels have been killed, two wounded and 17 others made captive during series of operations conducted in parts of the country over the past 24 hours," the statement added. However, it did not say if there were any casualties on the security personnel. Taliban militants have yet to make comment.
