Four people have been killed and eight others wounded in Afghanistan's Kandahar Province.
The attack took place around 01:00 PM yesterday where the short gun battle between the security officials and insurgents continued for about 30 minutes, Khaama Press reported.
Zia Durania, spokesman for the police headquarters of southern Kandahar Province says that insurgents 1st carried out an explosion in the Bazaar of Spin Boldak District and after Police arrived at the scene, a gun battle erupted between security officials and insurgents.
He said one police officer and three civilians were killed in the attack while eight policemen sustained injuries. He put the number of the attackers at two and said that both of them have been killed by the security forces.
Taliban insurgents claimed responsibility for the attack.
