General Zahir Azimi, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense says that two soldiers from Afghan National Army embraced martyrdom due to enemy actions in past 24 hours.

In a statement issued Monday morning and carried by Afghan Khaama Press (KP) Azimi does not specify the location of the enemy actions.

T he statement adds that four militants were also killed in military actions in eastern Laghman province in past 24 hours.

Eight other insurgents were also wounded and 26 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were discovered and defused by the security forces during the operations, the statement states.

Security forces have underway several anti-terrorism operations across the country as the terrorist attacks have increased recently.
