At least 111 Taliban militants were killed during military operations in various provinces of Afghanistan in the past 24 hours. Gen. Zahir Azimi, the spokesman for the Afghan Ministry Defense said the militants were killed following military operations in Kunar, Maidan Wardak, Zabul, Kandahar, Uruzgan and Farah provinces, Khaama press reported. Azimi further added that four Afghan national army soldiers were also killed following improvised explosive device (IED) attack. He did not disclose further information regarding the exact locations of the incident where the Afghan soldiers were killed. He said the anti-government militants suffered heavy casualties during the last two day's clashes with the Afghan security forces.
