One policeman was killed and five others injured in an explosion that hit Kabul Sunday. Also today, joint operations conducted by the Afghani forces and ISAF killed 12 militants and injured 10 others. The Afghan Minister of Interior confirmed the casualties in a statement released this morning. As for the joint operations with ISAF, the ministry said they took place in Kunar, Kandahar provinces as well as five others. In addition to the 12 killed and 10 injured, some seven other militants were arrested. The forces used a range of heavy armory and improvised explosive devices (IED) but did not mention the number of casualties on their side during the clashes.
