An Israeli soldier was wounded in a West Bank shooting attack on Thursday and his alleged assailant was shot, the army said in a statement.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said that a Palestinian was shot dead at the scene of the incident, at the West Bank village of Hizmeh, north of Jerusalem.
