Palestine is not backing Shafiq's presidential campaign

A senior Palestinian official Friday dismissed as untrue and baseless ,press reports alleging that the Palestinian government was backing the presidential campaign of the Egyptian candidate Gen. Ahmed Shafiq. The official said that the Presidential elections of Egypt is an internal affair and that the president of the people's choice will be respected. He noted that the Palestinian government has never intervened in an Internal affair of any of the Arab states. (QNA)
