
Interior Minister Abdul-Qader Qahtan discussed here on Wednesday with German ambassador to Yemen Carola Muller-Holtkemper the areas of security cooperation between the two countries. The Minister hailed the high level of cooperation between the two countries and German support for the success of the political process and dialogue in Yemen. He stressed that the security services do every effort to pursue those who are involved in killing a German embassy's security men. The German ambassador praised the Interior Ministry's efforts to hunt the perpetrators, stressing that her government will continue to support Yemen in all fields, particularly in succeeding the National Dialogue Conference (NDC). On the other hand, Qahtan held talks with European Union (EU) ambassador to Yemen Bettina Muscheidt on several areas of security cooperation between Yemen and the EU. He praised the EU efforts in support of the political process and the peaceful transition of power in Yemen the commitment the EU shown to succeed the NDC, which is about to end its works. Muscheidt hailed the Ministry's security efforts to secure and protect diplomatic mission and international organizations working in Yemen. She confirmed the EU continuous support for the Yemeni government, topped by the peaceful transfer of power.
