The cabinet on Wednesday took several decisions to carry out the executive measures approved by the government earlier to implement the 20 and 11 points. The 20 points have been proposed by the preparatory committee of the National Dialogue Conference's (NDC) and the 11 points approved by the NDC's Southern issue team. They all aimed to carry out trust-building measures and pave the way to succeed the national dialogue. In its weekly meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa, the cabinet instructed all governors to remove features of prejudice and injustice against cultural and social heritage of the Southern areas, as well as the names of some streets or public facilities changed after the 1994 war that raises the sensitivity of some parties. The cabinet formed some ministerial committees to carry out several procedures, particularly revising the curricula to meet the intellectual diversity in the country and the NDC's outcomes, and to write off whatever cause in spreading the culture of hatred, war glorification and territorial and religious incitement. The committees' procedures include also taking the necessary measures to stimulate trade movement into Sa'ada province and facilitate the flow of goods and commodities from and to the province. One of the formed committee was asked with counting cases that are still held in custody in connection with political cases or detained forcibly and illegally. It also has to take the necessary measures to investigate the cases and immediately release any detainee in connection with the southern peaceful movement, Sa'ada wars and the peaceful youth revolution or any illegal detainees and punish those who are responsible for these detentions. The cabinet ordered Defense and Interior Ministers in collaboration with the military committee in Aden and Hadramout provinces to remove the military manifestations created recently in the provinces' streets and neighborhoods and return the military vehicles to their camps as well as empowering the security authorities to maintain the security in the two provinces. It also directed the Ministers of Defense, Interior, Local Administration and Human Rights to take the required measures to address the situation of the dismissed civil, security and military personnel in accordance with solutions made in the southern provinces.
