Yemen, UK talks on outcomes of Friends Group meeting

Foreign Minister Dr. Abu Bakr al-Qirbi met on Thursday with ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to Yemen, Jane Marriott. The meeting dealt with the evaluation of results of the sixth meeting of the Friends of Yemen Group, which was held in New York on September 25 on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the United Nations. The two sides discussed ideas and ways to develop mechanism of work in the Group between the tri-chairmanship of the group, which consists of Yemen, Saudi Arabia and the UK, so as to contribute to achieving the desired outcomes of the Group’s meetings. Al-Qirbi and Marriott also talked on the latest developments of the national dialogue conference and the role of the sponsoring countries in supporting the efforts for bringing it to the desired purposes.
