
Department of State spokeswoman, Jane Bsaki, said that no solution has been reached so far for the convening of Geneva 2 Conference on Syria. "We discussed possible dates but we did not fix a date," she added. Commenting on Iran's participation in the conference, she replied: "We are still discussing with our allies and concerned parties about whether Iran would take part." The spokeswomen said that the U.S would favor the departure of President Bashar Assad. On another hand, The Russian Foreign Ministry, has denied in turn setting a specific date for Geneva 2 conference which aimed to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis, saying that "this issue is the duty of the Secretary - General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon ."
