Tunis - KUNA

Visiting U.S. lawmakers, led by Senator John McCain (R-AZ) accompanied by Lindsey Graham (R-SC), John Hoeven (R-ND), Jeff Sessions (R-AL), and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), renewed Thursday their country's support to Tunisia. According to Tunisia's official news agency, after meeting with Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, the U.S. delegation reaffirmed their support to Tunisia, which was the launching point of the so-called "Arab Spring." Jebali briefed the U.S. lawmakers on the government's program of action for the coming period, particularly as regards to job creation and a set of priorities. The Tunisian Prime Minister also stressed the importance of such support by the U.S. to enable the country to confront the economic, social, and cultural challenges it faces.
