
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived today in Baghdad in an official visit, during which he will meet senior Iraqi officials.
A source at the State Department said on Thursday that Kerry will show strong support to the Iraqi government which grapples with major economic, political and security challenges.
Kerry will also visit the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to meet senior officials there, and discuss progress of the fight against Daesh in the region.
