US President Barack Obama invited on Wednesday the leaders of Congress from both parties to the White House to talk on re-opening the US government. House Speaker John Boehner will attend the meeting at the White House, according to a spokesman for Boehner. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi are also set to gather with the president. "US president will urge the House to pass a "clean" bill to reopen the government," a White House official said. Boehner's office said the meeting would be the start of serious talks to iron out the differences that led to government agencies closing down. On Tuesday, the U.S. government started a partial shutdown and there is no immediate resolution in sight so far.
