US president considers talk with Putin at G20 summit sincere, constructive

U.S. President Barack Obama said generally he was satisfied with the talk with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit. Speaking at a news conference on Friday, Obama said the talk was sincere and constructive. Syria was the key issues of the talk and the situation around former CIA technical contractor Edward Snowden was not in the focus of the meeting with Putin, the U.S. president said. Obama said the leaders of both countries shared the view on continuing cooperation despite the existing disagreements on certain issues, including on Syria. The U.S. president said he did not hope that Putin agreed with the U.S. position on Syria. At the same time, he said after U.N. experts presented their report Moscow would have more grounds for trusting the United States. Obama said Putin and he agreed that the conflict in Syria could be settled only by political means.
