
The Director General of UNESCO ErenaBokova today denounced the killing of six journalists in two separate incidents in Iraq. A statement on the website of the organization, said Bokova is much concerned over the killing of Raad Yassin, Jamal Abdulnasser, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Wisam Al-Azawi and Mohammed Abdulhameed during an attack on Salahuddin TV station in Takrit while Omer Al-Dilaimi was killed in the city of Al-Ramadi.Bokova called on the Iraqi authorities to do its best to bring those accountable of these crimes before justice, noting that the escalation of violence in Iraq is intolerable as its poses great danger on reconciliation and national restructure.
