UN urges Iraqis to unite following deadly attacks

UN Secretary General's special envoy to Iraq Ed Melkert called on the Iraqis Monday to stand firm and unite in the wake of bloody attacks that hit the country. In a statement, Melkert called on all Iraqis to throughly think of principles of forgivesness and respect of human beings. He also called on the Iraqi people to unite ranks towards co-existence and democracy. He condemned the deliberate attacks against security forces. Scores were killed and injured in a series of bloody attacks against several citizens in Iraq earlier today.
