
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced here on Friday that Kiev will establish a special committee the Group of strategic advisors, to support reforms in Ukraine.
"There will be a single team that will reform our country," Poroshenko was quoted as saying by his press service.
The committee will be comprised of Ukrainian experts and officials, as well as foreign professionals, who have helped to successfully implement reforms in their own countries.
The reform group will be co-chaired by the former head of Poland's central bank Leszek Balcerowicz and Former Slovak finance minister Ivan Miklos.
On Tuesday, Poroshenko said that implementation of stalled economic reforms is one of the priority tasks for the new Ukrainian government, which took office last week.
According to Poroshenko, reforms of the public procurement system, financial sector, energy, health care, education and agriculture are essential to boost the Ukrainian economy.
